Great action, great tension, fun weapon/ability variety. Story was good, but the presentation (cutscenes occur through the game engine rather than actual cinematic scenes) held it back IMO. Also, silent protagonist? Cmon now. Metroid Dread (Switch) From a gameplay standpoint, this is the best Metroid ever and probably the best 2D game ever. Game is ridiculously addictive, with tight controls, tons of powerups, and mesmerizing boss fights. Story was also surprisingly good. Only downsides were the music and atmosphere.
