I hate to say it but I kind of agree?
I've tried many times to get into this game and I just can't do it. The farthest I've got is
Alfheim.It's completely boring. It's a technological tour de force achievement for sure, but the story is a complete slog, made worse by the fact that you have to play as Kratos -taciturn toughguy turned bad dad - and put up with the most annoying kid sidekick I can remember. Everyone says that this game has really profound moments about fatherhood/grief/reconciling the past but I have yet to get there and probably never will. Playing it is like watching a bad Terrance Malick movie: the most gorgeous film you've ever seen yet being completely disinterested the whole time.
