Youve essentially taken the point of the movie and flipped it on its head by making a criticism. I also feel I am being asked to explain something that is both notoriously hard to explain by nature.... and should not have to be explained, as a given. Not to mention were almost deviating from the point. Do you not see any correlation between the Curse of Thorn imagery & Michaels handprint? Especially in *that* sequence. Was the ending not a Nightmare On Elm St reference, basically? Remember, Halloween has always been this. They just made him old on top of it. And the Silver Shamrock masks are a lot more than just a nod, man. But its ok. Halloween is cerebral and nebulous. Its almost Lovecraftian at its best. The audiences only connection to that fact in DIALOGUE is through crazy Dr Loomis. Everyone else says Michael is a normal human. When we see him, hes clearly got some superhuman abilities or extremely extraordinary abilities. They never really explain why. Maybe hes just evil. Michael is basically a berserker like a guy on PCP it even a mom flipping a car to save her child. Hulk strength. Who knows. Maybe he is the devil! The evil in all of us. Sort of stuff by not having a Curse of Thorn ^ we gain what I just said. Which was in line with the original movie and what makes this all so good. That being said? Like I said they explained that Michael has the curse and gains the power without calling it by name. Laurie is our Loomis ... Copied to Clipboard! |
