She's probably afraid that you want ro ask her about going to this "work thing" together. She's probably avoiding the text so she won't have to deal with that. She's hoping you'll take the hint and leave her alone so that she doesn't have to make things awkward and ask you to leave her alone. You even stated that she has told you that you're just "friendly collegues".
