I don't know of Morrowind is on steam.. it probably is (yup, it is). but I don't already have it...if you ever play it, recommended to use OpenMW (kind of like a source port except written from scratch) (you'll still need a version to have the media files) Lokarin posted... Hotline Miami 2, I'm not a huge fan of the games... did secret ending the first one. I know the plot of the second game from youtube and it's definitely one of those bitter endings that really pays offI wasn't sure at first, but after playing both, HM2 is a lot better than 1. the gameplay is way more solid and less RNG, though the difficulty is a lot higher. the levels and story are a lot less repetitive as well. I do have Inquisitor and am waiting for the next season to start overMechanicus is like X-Com apparently, not that I've played that. (so, squad-based TBS). it's VERY hard on default settings. I have not played it very far though. the main reason I recommend it is extremely high production quality and deep gameplay, but I maybe haven't actually played far enough to properly judge it. also it has one of the best intros ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gIMZ0WyY88 Lokarin posted... Age of Wonders I don't think I ever played anything from the series... but is IS a Paradox game so I probably "should" like it but won't. IDK. I tried EU and Crusader Kings but they just aren't my thing. Still love Mount & Blade........ so I should probably check out Bannerlord if it's not too glitchyAge of Wonders is different than most Paradox games (it's not really a paradox game they just bought it). EU is "grand strategy" (not 100% sure what that means). Age of Wonders is more like a turn-based "skirmish" game, sort of, if that makes sense. like Warcraft 3 or Sins of a Solar empire, but turn-based. (so more like Lords of Magic or Heroes of Might and Magic.) they're very hard on normal difficulty (I find). but also, great games. I would actually recommend starting at AoW 1, which is probably the best, though it can be hard to get into. AoW PlanetSide reboots the series (though I haven't beat it yet, so for all I know they're connected in some way but not as far as I know) as Sci-Fi. It makes the campaign maps randomized, which is good and bad. It uses the Amplitude Studios idea (found in Endless Legend and now Humankind (though for all I know it came from elsewhere)) of having regions/zones on a 4x style map, with a 1-city per region limit rather than letting you build cities anywhere. --- ...
