I'm sure you would like to think that, but this assertion of yours is false. I understand the issue well enough to know that Covid-19 is a severe threat to public health. I also understand why people would be hesitant to get the vaccine (for a variety of reasons).

I am personally vaccinated, and I received my second dose back in February. I'll likely get a booster sooner or later, too. But, I am capable of acknowledging that my opinion on vaccines is not necessarily the only opinion, and I believe in the rights of free speech (pertaining to Garrison) and the right to choose whether or not one undergoes medical treatments (i.e. anybody who doesn't want the vaccine).

For me, it's not about whether or not the vaccines work (they do), or whether or not Covid-19 is deadly (it is). It's about the encroachment of government agencies on individual freedoms. Mandates about masks, vaccines, etc. are dangerous territory. If they do it this time and receive no opposition, what reasonable standing do we have against them doing it again with something else later? I believe in standing up for individual rights every time they are impacted.

I support the right to choose, even if I personally think anti-vaxx individuals are incorrect and misinformed. I don't want a person to die for disagreeing with me.

A) Coming back to this - are you saying you believe seat belt laws, vaccine mandates for schools, prohibiting texting while driving, keeping people from yelling Fire in a theater, etc are all dangerous? Since they impact individual rights?
B) In the HCA thread you don't seem to stand up for the individual right of free speech .. instead you criticize them from (in your words) "being cruel". Wouldn't you agree they should be able to voice things how they want (under your "I believe in standing up for individual rights every time they are impacted.")
C) In post 85 you say people "don't get to decide what words mean"... but aren't you doing that in the HCA topics?
