Other - Never had a pet, no interest in getting one

What would you so if your SO were allergic thou ..

We mentioned this in the other topic. My SO is actually allergic to cats. And I have one. So, we usually spend time together at his place. Some people mentioned also not getting another of that pet going forward. So, I wouldn't get rid of my cat, but not get anymore in the future. Some also said maybe splitting up or keeping things casual until later in life, as well. While some said they would get rid of the pet, most said no, and had other ways to deal with the allergy. Like not getting more later, or hanging out at their place...

Nope. Well, I suppose it depends. There are some unlikely, extreme scenarios where I would. If they are someone that I've been with for years and truly love and this person suddenly develops a strong allergy to dogs, then yes. Because it is possible to develop allergies to something that you used to be fine with. I would have to choose her over the pet. My parents would take Lucy in and let her live the rest of her life still with family.

Somebody that I'm just dating? No. But they aren't really a significant other at that point.

Yeah. That's could happen... If I lived closer to home, I could possibly do that with my dogs and have them stay with my grandma. But tbh, I usually don't live with my SOs. So, I could just have them at my house or whatever...
