Speaking from the perspective of playing and loving just about every Souls game yet made:

I have never heard a single argument against an easy mode that doesnt boil down to gatekeeping elitism. "You MUST experience it THIS WAY, because WE DID!"

You wouldn't have to use it. There's no hard-and-fast rule saying difficulties couldn't be sectioned off into their own multiplayer scenes. It would have no impact on anyone. And as for "the true Souls experience" and "artistic expression" arguments, The Count of Monte Cristo isn't ruined forever just because someone sees it and walks away thinking it's just a fun prison break story.

If the devs don't feel like making it, that's fine. They don't have to. But it's not like the sheer existence of an easy mode would intrinsically ruin Souls for everyone, forever. More options are always better than fewer. And they are just options.

Considering there's not only multi-player, but also co op it seems like an unnecessary addition. Not only does it complicate both, but this game has added plenty of other ways to add some ease to players having a hard time.

Having them section off both co op and pvp would cut the player base down a lot in each group. I can understand wanting that in maybe sekiro 2, but this game has added do much to make it more accessible. Have a hard time? Stealth and a group, plus grinding.

It just seems like adding an easy mode to me is akin to hardcore cheesing a boss or using a glitch to level up 20 plus levels. The game has many ways to play, and looks like the possibly easiest souls game yet.
