You can get a LOT of good quality food in bulk for a discount, and can easily spend $400 and get about what you would get spending $600-$800 at a regular grocery store. (And that's probably a lowball estimate.)

$60 is a small price to pay for that.
Costco makes you spend more cause everything is in bulk. Also some stuff aren't cheaper than other places.
