They are both great songs. Neither one is remotely close to a top 35 song all time. Top 200 for Royals seems reasonable, Seven Nation Army is hard to place cause of the lack of real lyrics or point.


They're two of the biggest songs of their eras and are commonly cited on similar lists at a similar level. They were both immediate successes with critics and in popular culture which is increasingly rare in the Internet era. What does 'lack of real lyrics' mean when talking about a guitar rock song? You do understand there is music without vocals, right? You even apparently 'love them' yourself, so what on earth are you talking about?
