That works for Neo but he was never the one it was hard to explain being alive. I haven't seen The Matrix series in forever but iirc Trinity got fatally impaled outside of the Matrix. Maybe Neo used his powers to create a clone of her in the Matrix? Or maybe the machines made like a real life clone? Can't be the real Trinity though. Really don't see how they can explain her being alive without it being ridiculous.
Yeah they both died outside of the Matrix. Clones were my first thought, though its clear theyre working on his dead body after the last movie. Theres another screenshot where hes waking up in his pod again, eyes NOT burned out, so either they somehow fixed his body or they studied him to create a perfect clone.
