First open up your laptop memory area. Usually it's on the underside, sometimes by itself sometimes in the same place as the battery if you have removable battery. If it's not there it's under the keyboard.

Check to see if it has 2 or 4 DIMM slots. If it's 2, buy 2 sticks of 32, otherwise buy 4 sticks of 16. Make sure they're identical memory sticks. If you don't know what you're doing things can get weird if you mix and match.

Slot them in literally like Legos. You're done.

If the computer won't boot, it means you didn't slot them in all the way. You can't put them in the wrong way because of a notch so don't worry about that.

You seem fairly knowledgeable about this. I am awful with computer parts, it is very confusingfor me. My computer is a 10th gen msi ge75 raider se, could you link me to the appropriate RAM for this machine?
