Before I say this, I am fully vaccinated. Now onto my tin hat theories.
My conspiracy theory mind has been thinking for a while that the people who do the research don't want a cure. A cure is only for those infected. A vaccine is for EVERYONE. Which means there's WAY more money to be made on vaccines. Especially with everyone pushing 2+ vaccines. Like Pfizer announced they did their own internal study and found a 3rd vaccine is recommended and everyone just believed them. No one took a minute to think "hey, maybe we should get a 3rd party to verify this since Pfizer financially benefits from that finding". Someone here on gamefaqs even said I was being dumb for wanting the findings verified for that reason. I don't understand why everyone just trusts pharmacy companies now. We never did, but suddenly they're Jesus.
ANYWAYS, with all that said. Joe used a human dose of ivermectin, not the stuff they use on horses. He also takes steroids which has been known to (for whatever reason) help the body fight covid. I know they gave him some other medications as well. So even if we did find something that worked, it being JUST ivermectin is pretty unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.
The monoclonal antibodies are the only type of cure available for a virus; ivermectin was primarily studied as a preventative measure at low cost, not something for once you already had it.
Viruses don't get cured; you beat it or you don't, or you vaccinate. Those are the only options; the only hope is for things to help your body beat it like Theraflu etc
