Belcalis Almanzars home is a sprawling, sprawling thing, and it takes a team to inhabit its vastness. This house was never built to live in, says Almanzar, whose Spanish-language show, Calle 8, is part soap, part music festival and all-star cast. With a house the size of two and a half New York City apartments, theres room for two people to go their separate ways in the three years they spend filming in and around the house and still meet up to get their morning taco or finish their evening cocktails.

Theres no bathroom here, Almanzar jokes as she opens her front door. When the house first went up for sale, she says, The first person who walked in here thought I was the devil. (Apparently, the realtor warned her that it was possible to make a deal and still have time to take a shower before shooting.)
