Topic	It baffles me at how bad Playstation is at copying things

Their big studios still didn't want to touch it. They still never attempted to actually launch a major franchise on the thing. So it died quick and hard. It no longer had the multimedia or hacking advantages that the PSP had and Western third parties had lost interest in portables hard. They didn't even try to keep Monster Hunter on the thing which basically gave Nintendo Japan on a silver platter.
