Rise of Skywalker.

Finn & Poe largely lost their development in 8, so I cant blame JJ for turning them into action figures. At all.

While completely insane, the finale battle was daring & not entirely out of key for the sequels. Palpatine appearing out of nowhere. A fleet of ships in tight formation coming to save the day but getting their butts kicked until the Jedi do something. Reys whole shtick with the double lightsabers and the Kylo kiss and the ancestral spirits. The orderly, dark, mechanical cloak & dagger planet of the Emperor with all his freaky followers lurking in the background. And, earlier in the film..... Reys experience on the ruined Death Star, the way she holds up the dagger to align the map. The healing powers she uses. The appearance of Lukes spirit. The way they incorporated Leia. Honestly.... there was nothing particularly wrong with Rise of Skywalker lol. Strong start. Strong ending.

Episode 1? The Gungans ruins the movie. Episode 2? They fixed the special effects but it gets silly on a plethora of levels even by Star Wars standards. Episode 3? Just falls to pieces in the end with the lava ninja battle and pretending that was a smooth transition into Darth Vader, and showing them on the bridge of a Death Star. Yuck. Episode 7? Amazing amazing amazing film but everything with Harrison Ford was pretty terrible. Episode 8? Not a great start at all with the joke sequence, and it gets extremely bloated with Finn & Roses section on the gambling planet until they escape. Also, Mark Hamill complained a lot and colored the experience for no reason. He was fine. Much better than whatever the heck was going on with Harrison Ford.

I dont want to be here. Im too old.

But I will engage in this slapstick routine involving debt collectors & a giant rolling boulder alien chasing me through the corridors like a Scooby Doo cartoon.
