Im so tired Bros

Did they update franchise mode any? Is it any better?
Same, I started school again and I need more sleep.

They overhauled the practice and gameplan systems quite a bit, practice isn't the dumb "get a gold medal once then sim it but apparently only two position groups practice each week" system anymore, your whole team practices but you can decide to focus only on starters, only backups, or split it, and then level of pads - they added a progressive season long fatigue level that's affected by practice so you can't just practice your starters in full pads every week.

And gameplanning is a bit more in depth with the game showing you your opponent's stats, rankings and tendencies for the season + their biggest offensive/defensive threats, so you can see at a glance if they're blitz-heavy or if they're really good at deep passing. And then gameplan accordingly with bonuses to plays and routes and whatnot that follow that gameplan.

Uhhh what else... There's a new homefield advantage and momentum system, where every stadium has a specific little attribute that affects visiting teams like audibles have a chance to fail for the away team @ Arrowhead, away team fatigues a bit faster at Mile High, stuff like that. I think if momentum swings far enough the away team can nullify these. And having enough momentum can activate other things that change every game and matchup, I've only played one game so far but in mine (preseason Chiefs @ 49ers) I saw that receivers of one team were more likely to drop the ball if they gave the other team too much momentum.

They're adding at least one big new feature to franchise post-launch too with the current scouting system being entirely replaced in late September, looks way more in depth and not just "scout three highest attributes then look at combine results"

So I think they're definitely focusing on franchise a bit more but up to you whether it's enough. Also it does seem to be a little buggy right this moment, in offline franchises the longest passing play anyone will have in a simulated game is 25 yards, and sometimes stats and points scored in a game get erased so you can win a game but Madden decides when you get to the menu that you actually put up no points and lost. Online franchises have these fixed already though so I'd think the first patch should fix these for offline.
