| UnfairRepresent 08/08/21 7:18:21 PM #102: | I don't think BBT is amazingly written but it does have continuity, character arcs, some form of realism (or at least rules/limit to abusrdity) that makes the writing better than Community. Community has better jokes but the writing is pretty bad. That's why I reject "oh it's better written" as an excuse because it's really really not. And it's popularity is not a mystery, people got attached to the characters because you could. You can't really get attached to the characters in community (I mean the general population by in large) because every episode was its own bubble and there was no arcs or emotional connections Same reason Friends did so well.
