And it's a good indicator of the level design being strongly thought out and the world being all nice and interconnected! To me sequence breaking means exploration really matters. For example I love hollow knight and I hate Ori, and it kind of boils down to that principle. Exploration is really exciting in the former because you can actually find interesting areas and power ups that are completely unnecessary to beat the game, and in the later its just a linear game where you have to backtrack to get everything.
