I honestly don't believe you tbqh. With virtual and internet issues we had hundreds of kids with no reliable way to do anything. So failing them was just not an option.

I literally work in education, so yes we did fail kids for not completing work. But, even then what you described is the failure of remote learning: kids that didnt do anything (most of them) still got socially promoted. So now theyre in the next grade with none of the prerequisite skills required for the next course. So teachers now have to teach these concepts on top of the new concepts.

Theyre not going remote again unless student populations are detrimentally affected by the disease. Itll be reactionary.
