Joel Kinnaman has filed a restraining order against a woman he had sex with back in 2018.
The 41-year-old actor says that the woman, model Bella Davis, is trying to extort him by threatening to tell the media that she had non-consensual sex with him.
Joel released a lengthy statement on his Instagram account in which he listed out the demands Bella allegedly gave to him to keep her silent. He also presented all of the facts in the situation to fans.
Her threats of violence against me and my loved ones have become so serious and specific that I felt I had no choice but to seek a restraining order, Joel said at the end of his statement. I want to be VERY clear so there is no misunderstanding: I stand by all victims of sexual assault. That is not what occurred here. This was consensual sex. And now it is an attempt to extort. More importantly this is a threat to the safety of my family and loved ones, which will always be my top priority.
Joel, who is engaged to model Kelly Gale, stars in the new movie The Suicide Squad, which just hit theaters today.
Here's hoping that trash finally gets the hint and leaves him and his family alone.
