Yeah, I'm sure you're right. I have a few unhealthy tendencies, most centered around self-flagellation. The advice is sound except for the fact that I can't always necessarily tell when I'm rubbing someone the wrong way. Feels like the modus operandi is not communication, but to just pretend the other person doesn't exist. I guess I just wish people would call me out if they feel I'm behaving badly rather than just tossing me in that trash pile with me none the wiser. Of course my username probably doesn't help there -- I couldn't think of anything, so I was just checking random words and thought it was funny that 'simp' hadn't been taken. In retrospect I probably should have gone with something else since I don't tend to gimmick-post much.

I've been where you are. Put yourself first cause it's your life and you deserve to be the priority in your own life. If you rubbed someone the wrong way, so what? Not everyone will interpret who you are to your benefit no matter what you do, since they're seeing you through their lens not yours. Someone not replying doesn't mean it's personal. It's the internet, people can do whatever the f they want, it doesn't always mean something. Also, people will call you out if you are "behaving badly" (jesus this sounds like some sub dom porn), so if they haven't called you out, you don't need to assume they want to. I'm sorry you are feeling shitty about yourself. The best way you can improve as a person is trust that you're doing okay, be helpful when the opportunity presents itself, and don't abuse anyone or rob them or kill them or w/e.
