It's funny because Americans say Chinese are brainwashed without the slightest hint of irony. In my country (Mexico) people have an opinion of China that ranges from neutral to very good. So it was a big shock to me to see Americans on the internet (even leftists) buy into the whole Cold War mentality when it comes to China.
