I don't understand how adults are incapable of understanding basic math or grammar but I've generally learned to just accept they exist and not make a big deal out of it. For me, the struggle is social anxiety and while I know that a lot of stuff that sounds easy to some comes across as irrationally hard to me, I know it's just like me being like "how can someone get a 10% tip wrong with a calculator" I think that is one of the most interesting basic levels of learning you can get from meeting new people.
