In my Elementary School years I lived in the Black Projects (1978 to 1983).

Aside from the Main Street businesses I was from one of three other white families in the area.

See the White Peoples Projects was like eight miles out of the way from my school and I wasn't registered in theirs.

Plus it would have added about several miles to my Dads work.

Was the first time I seen people killed.

One was shot and another hit by lightning.

Moved away in my Jr and High School days.

Moved back when I got out on my own since I knew people from there and I was safe because they knew me.

Where I was weened on boozing too.

Also when I take a trip back home I always visit or do a drive through.

Pretty much the same since the late 70s and late 90s aside from porch roofs and windows being updated.

Also the reservoir still seems to flood.

You'd figure after 40 years they'd had fix this by now.
