I don't think many of their commanding officers would let them just stay on the boats instead of going to the beach with their unit because they mentally didn't feel right. They would have been called a coward if they tried but today we make excuses. The Olympics may be stressful but I'm sure those boys at Normady would have traded if they could. And unlike the athletes of yesteryear that put their careers on hold as they volunteered to serve, todays athletes ( with a couple of exceptions), wouldn't make such a sacrificeI think back to an era when I didn't have to read stupid fucking shit like this on a daily basis. --- "If you wish to converse with me define your terms" Voltaire ...
