There's literally no exploration. When I play a Zelda game, I like to go off the beaten trail and find goodies. What Skyward Sword ended up being was a bad overly linear Metroidvania game.I definitely noticed the linearity when I first played, but I think the idea that you're constantly solving puzzles and navigating obstacles helped alleviate it. It'd be different if you were doing nothing but walking to the next dungeon with a few occasional fights.
