The reason why this presents as "conservative" is that prereqs I'm not advocating either for and against abortion. Society has deemed we (may) require some level of restriction on the operation but I don't think any point in the pregnancy is particularly more ethical than another, so whatever the requirement is it will be arbitrary. Therefore harder prerequisites to abortion are as justifiable as weaker ones, if we have requirements.
