The family photos are awesome! I'm impressed that you can tell the three non black ones apart.. is it usual for kittens to keep nursing after 12 weeks?
It's easy to spot the longer hair one apart, the two short hair ones are difficult/managable based on distance and light. The one with a spot is very dark overall except for the orange spot on the back/chest. The other is the brightest overall of the four and more of a sandstone/orange. So it's difficult, but I've gotten used to using uniformity vs darker/stark spot. They also have polar opposite personalities with one being super docile/quiet and the other very flighty/vocal.

As for the nursing/weaning... yeah, they're supposed to be fully weaned by 8-10. They been eating solid/dry food, wet food, and prey they find in the yard, but for some reason even at 13 weeks now they're occasionally nursing. Even the clinic and another place were very confused/surprised. So it's very likely she's either got another litter in the works causing the lactating or just... very generous.

As for why we haven't gotten the mother spayed yet, it's because we tried for 4 weeks to trap her, she's too smart and even called the kittens away from the trap. You can pet/rub her, but picking her up is one of those "you might lose an arm doing it" deals. We did TNR the tom that was claiming and banging everything in this location, so there's that.
