If anything, what i actually realized is that a lot of the music thats discarded as immature by those "mature" types has a lot of worth beyond the surface level and actually got more relevant with age, while all the old stuff remained as unrelatable as ever. Not that its necessarily bad, but just extremely overrated in its scope of being the "life's music" or whatever they bring up when discussing it.

I can think of tons of old music that's good and/or relatable though. Mind you, I don't think old music is inherently better... but I feel anyone who can't find something that moves them in someway isn't really trying, or has some weird hangup were they really don't want to listen to their parents music.
