Vigilante justice is bad, and this of course is no exception. If it turns out the 80 year old man was a pedophile, you still give his murderer a healthy jail sentence, even if one of his kids was hurt. On the topic of vigilante justice: we see trained police fuck up so much, why on Earth would we want untrained members of the public to meter out justice as they see fit?

Pedophilia is also terrible and bad, and nobody here is really defending it, especially not because we don't like the idea of members of the public murdering people as some form of justice.
