Raising the minimum wage is irrelevant at this point thanks to inflation the price of everything is going up. Even if a person makes a few more bucks an hour the pay raise will get eaten right up by higher food or gas prices. The only sensible solution is to implement a 2k a month automatic payment to all people below a certain economic threshold.

I agree with universal basic income, but where do you draw line with economic threshold? It will cause division for people end up not getting that 2K a month because they happen to be working a job that barely goes over threshold. So just make it universal like universal education and universal healthcare.
