Or someone says something that has an inherent or hidden meaning without realizing it. IE: All the alt-right dog whistles going around like the "OK" hand sometimes being a symbol for white supremacy.ok, fair in that context. but people like that tend stack dogwhistles on top of each other until they're audible by anyone with functioning ears. it's also worth noting that the people who do shit like that tend to be some of the worst offenders in terms of refusing to engage directly with people's words. I choose my words very carefully and it's extremely frustrating when people just pull shit out of their ass when they talk to me. it's equally frustrating when they expect the same of me --- peanut butter and dick ...
