Trying to talk to a parent would have made it worse since if the kid is cussing in public like that it's almost guaranteed they got it from their parent/guardian and that they probably don't have a problem with language like that. people like that? Some black kids playing basketball? They arent aliens dude pretty much anyone that you just say hello to and let them know who you are will at least hear you out and if not then oh well you tried and its still no excuse to beat anyone let alone a kid. Kids usually dont pick up swearing at home, most of them pick it up from their peers. And while its a stereotype, there are indeed plenty of black parents that will lose their shit if they find out their kid is being disrespectful to people.
