Hideo Kojima was really willing to sacrifice profit for product. And he went above above & beyond for his engines.

The only one that rraaaaally ran on consoles was 4. Everything else was too powerful lol ~ You can see some of the stuff they wanted to do with 3 when the cutscenes happen. And he nailed the forest and the intro. Which was the goal.

The Fox engine is really freaking great, and it's sad that it's basically just an engine for soccer games now. ---
