| ShyOx 07/11/21 2:19:38 AM #1: | Songs so beautiful they can bring tears to your eyes. Music is likely one of the only forms of time travel we have; olfactory sense has proved to be another. Music can take you to a time and place, and more importantly to a certain feeling. When I listen to Thirteen by Big Star it takes me right back to 8th grade. This topic is about the songs that can bring you places. The Beatles are a near endless well for me, but I'm choosing something different this round: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubvYQxTXO3U Sunny by Bobby Hebb. It's a Memphis song, my hometown. One of the most perfect tunes of all time. James Brown does an AMAZING version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNFb7vfANVE My band played this from the beginning until the end. Our friend's guitar teacher played it at his funeral and it brought us all to tears. It's hard playing it now but still brings joy when we can really bring it.
