Like I said earlier, the show didn't know how to handle tones, like at one time it's suppose to be funny or try to be then suddenly they're having an argument over the daughter being on drugs or a former crackhead or something or one minute they're laughing the husband bungled something for his fire station job and the next a racist cop is itching to beat the black kid or frame him, like wtf pick a tone and stick with it, it's like going to a comedy show and after 3 jokes the comedic starts going off on a rant about how thanks to his ED his wife cheated on him and now they're going through a messy divorce
I respect Tyler Perry, but that's basically a huge portion of his work. A weird mix of comedy, tragedy and Christian tones that comes out pretty awkwardly. Very noticeable in the Madea and Mr. Brown themed projects.
