No - I said it was the worst thing to happen to culture and discourse. I could've omitted the society part - because some of your examples do rival it in those regards. I do think that constant surveillance of others and living in constant fear over every single thing you say or do within sight of another human is as bad as the anti-science rhetoric.
I just think you're ridiculous to assign a right wing lean to being anti-digital vigilantism -- or suggest that conservatives are the ones pushing the narrative. As I said - it has to do with a strong belief in rehabilitation, education, empathy, etc. and is more a liberal belief than conservative. Conservatives mostly just care about digital vigilantism when it's affecting their famous ideologues. I care about it in all contexts.
I've seen videos of people being recorded without consent who had clear signs of drug abuse, mental health issues, homelessness, etc. It's one step up from Bum Fights. It's Bum Fights with a self important desire to prove you're morally superior - which is honestly kind of worse in a way.

"And you're the one with a warped view if you honestly don't think that digital vigilantism isn't the most fucked thing to happen in decades."

That's what you said and that's fundamentally absurd. Again, it's not simply being against digital vigilantism and pointless, destructive, holier than thou behavior. I'm pretty sure the Chapo Traphouse guys hate that stuff and they are certainly left wing. It's calling it the worst thing to happen to society that is right wing framing.

Saying that implies that we need to focus on getting people to stop calling out other people on Twitter rather than focusing on things that "rival" digital vigilantism. They don't rival it, they are real world problems and digital vigilantism does not affect what the vast majority of people do irl, while everything I listed controls our lives. Saying that's the worst thing happening leads to exactly the type of narrow grievance politics that drives the right today where people are brought in by obsession with cancel culture and then vote for a party that turns around and strips their healthcare. They love that shit.
