I'm a huge stickler for excess noise, specifically bass-heavy stuff which vibrates my skull through walls. But if it's just yall talking, then yeah you're fine. Let her call the cops, but I would make it a point to lower the volume a bit around 10pm, that's usually a standard quiet time. Especially if they have kids, shit can wake up kids and probably be a nightmare to get them back to bed. You're definitely not in the wrong yet, but just be sure to tread lightly because being on shitty terms with neighbors is a bad thing. Is your neighborhood generally quiet?
