people also are working in the gig economy instead, and making ends meet that way while they wait for real opportunities.

the whole point of an emergency fund is so you dont have to take a job because you are 'forced to'

do you mean major retailers who have debt up to their eyeballs and shareholders that will literally murder them if they post a preventable quarterly loss because they were trying to fight a war with their labor pool

capital isn't as strong in this negotiation as you think
