Alright, today is the day! Today is probably the biggest match for us since the final in 92 and with perhaps a better squad than we've ever had. It's a huge joy because we don't have many expensive star players like the other teams. Most are playing for good to decent clubs, almost all outside of Denmark of course (at least all that play), but they work so well together, Hjulmand has been absolutely wonderful at creating A++ team spirit. Losing our biggest player to a heart attack on day 1 hurt, but at this point probably only strengthened the team spirit.

Lots of the players still made names for themselves during this tournament. Dolberg, Damsgaard and in particular Mhle has shown world class performances despite only getting much play time due to various injuries. We also have a bench that can keep the same level for once, and most of the star players have many years ahead of them. In 18 we lost on penalties to eventual finalists Croatia (and I'm never gonna stop blaming this on the fact that their goalkeeper left the line every single time, got scolded for it, but ultimately just kept doing it onwards to victory), and the team has only been growing since then. I believe we're in the beginning of a strong Danish era, where we can compete at the top even if we're not often favorites in the top matches.

I also love being around Danish fans. Lovable bunch just happy to be here. The minority that s***talks Braithwaite at every opportunity can stay at home, but otherwise I'm very happy that I'm standing next to these people. People that don't trash talk the opponents, don't underestimate them either, wouldn't sing it's coming home for +10 minutes in the semi-final they weren't part of (seriously, it's so ridiculous that it's basically impossible for the three other teams to have fans there to overrule such), and finally, doesn't compare our players to all time players every time they show skill. Pedri has been called the next Iniesta or Xavi god knows how many times. Shaw had one or two good matches and it's Shawberto Carlos all over. I realize that's far from everyone, I'm just appreciating how non-existent that is among Danish fans. No one is comparing Mhle to Roberto Carlos or any other legendary left back despite him having as good a case for it this tournament (which btw is still close to none), we're just chanting his name and enjoying what he's doing for us.

Looking very much forward to stand among these fans and rooting for this team tonight, being prepared that it might be the last time in a long time that we're this far, but also really hoping that it's not, which there's a fine chance of too. Let's f***ing go, Denmark!
