None the sources they linked to say anything about it relating to marijuana and what the hell does this even imply lol

"What this means for society
Millions of people around the world take these prescription medications and consume substances like alcohol and marijuana, it can be very easy to get used to not feeling great.

When we don't have good quality REM sleep, Dr. Stickgold says, "I think it leaves a lot of what we experience and what we learn during the day unprocessed. In some ways they're walking around as a shadow of themselves." "

Is it saying that it only matters if the drug you're using makes you "not feel good"? Could it more so be related to the people trying to use drugs to feel better but not realizing it's not helping? Cause I have really entertaining thoughts as I fall asleep, rather Im smoking or not. So maybe that's the factor more than the drug. I don't see why that "not feeling good" part was in there if it has nothing to do with it and it's actually the marijuana. Also, bunching in marijuana with alcohol is kinda "eh" here too.

But, Im not a scientist. Maybe I'm just an outlier. I'll definitely seek out more information on this through asking others myself.
