Topic	How come so many CIS woman are transphobic?
VanananaHeyHey 07/05/21 11:58:25 AM #26:	From birth, female children are treated differently than male children. Their freedom of movement is constrained constantly because of adult fear of rape. They are denied hobbies and activities because of their sex and all religions preach that there are distinct Man and Woman souls that are different (and two-spirit/other gender diverse cultures generally only allow male people to enter these variant gender identities, while still keeping female people as women). They have to fight and justify their existence, while being treated to "gotchas" about why they wear make-up or "choose" to take time off after giving birth. After a lifetime of walking home with keys between their fingers; with all medical attention being based on whether they are or can be pregnant (and deliberately negligent exclusion of female people from medical trials); with being treated to media meant to make them hate their appearance so they can fight their secondary sexual characteristics (breasts are too saggy, skin is too wrinkly, natural body hair is too unsanitary...); with being made fun of for being female and being raised as Girls and Women, meant to occupy and inhabit a suite of stereotypes and nurturing behaviors... Obviously, they would take issue with being told that all of these things are inherent to their souls and that they must identify with these things. The whole notion of "cis" relies on believing that Women and Men are real, actual, inherent roles that exist within the (brain, heart, soul), transcending time and space, rather than that they are a social construct that, despite changing across culture and era, always position female people-as-Women underneath male people-as-Men in the gender hierarchy. They also resent being told that "sex and gender aren't the same thing" [a true statement] while also being told that male people can "identify as female." There is a constant liberal conflation of "sex" and "gender," and weaponization of the concepts as one, despite the crowing that sex and gender are not the same. Sex is innate and immutable. Gender is social and constructed. Like money, religion and race, gender exists and does harm, but is not an actual force of the universe. --- Please, call me Vanai.
