Most people gay/straight/bi/pan/etc want an emotional bond from a relationship unless it's literally only based around sex. Seems like a pretentious way of saying your relationships matter more than other people's. I think people are thinking about this wrong. In straight, gay, lesbian, bi, etc relationships, you do grow a bond. Many people do. But you dont need a bond to start dating in most cases. Many people me date and grow a bond over time. But Demi is different. They have to have a strong emotional bond BEFORE dating, or BEFORE being sexually attracted to someone. So, thats like having a bond as strong as a best friend, or childhood friend BEFORE dating them.
