I can't speak for pojr, but for me, I was practicing this game like a fucking sport for months, and went to try out online tourneys in the Fall and in maybe 4 or 5 tournaments I couldn't get a single win even in the losers bracket lol.

To borrow his words, I'd hope locals wouldn't be quite as challenging. I don't expect to win anything big, but a single match would be nice haha.

i can paint a picture of every online opponent i ever had, with a few exceptions

• no manners (no "hi", "good luck", etc)
• rude as hell ("will you fucking check in already?")
• taunts in game
• always tries to get unfair advantages ("oh it lagged for 0.25 seconds, can we redo that whole game")
• no GGs at the end

there are some exceptions, i met some really nice opponents. for an example, Zen the Pikachu and Araknos were extremely friendly and a pleasure to battle with, even though I lose to both of them (and was destroyed 3 stocks to 0 against Zen).
