I totally understand this. I was living in Hawaii with my Brother when my Dad got his first heart attack. He called me and my Brother to tell us he was waiting on a taxi because he couldn't drive himself. My Brother and I insisted on an ambulance but he said "I'm not paying them shit,or leaving you two a bill".... Luckily he was sent to mayo hospital in Phoenix for an immediate pacemaker. Not trying to make this about me but I really havent shared this and wanted to. This kind of time is when you really have to appreciate a close family member to lean on and also help out any way you can.
