Can't imagine that books being overly racist I dont expect you to watch an hour-long video for my sake, but if you ever have the time, or just want to skim it or whatever, here is a very dedicatedly researched piece on Benioffs past misogynistic and racist writing and how it bled into GoT. https://youtu.be/4fcs7GUPML8 Im not sure if the book the Spike Lee joint is based on contains it but even just skipping through the video I see both City of Thieves and 25th Hour mentioned which are 2 of his most famous works. (Ive watched the entire thing before, just not for a while.)
