You seem to be thinking of this line of reasoning as sound and logical, when in reality, it is fucking stupid. How, in your little world, is Martin not finishing the series the reason why D&D produced literal garbage the last two seasons? The show was riding on it's peak, and they...just rushed it to the end. They had all the time and money in the world to flesh things out and they went nah we out.
