People who had been convinced one side was good and one side was bad, and didn't have the faintest understanding of why (and often, lacked the mental maturity to even give proper consideration to a subject that complex), were told that the people who support it secretly do so because they're racist. Chances are they didn't ask any further questions.
I openly listened to every leaver who was willing to talk

Usually their reasoning made no sense and many were outright racist. It's not a secret. "Take back our boarders and keep the brown people out" was part of the rallying cry, even though that's not what Brexit was actually about it.

UKIP the party that pushed for it and got about 10% of the population supporting them are a far-right party.

If I was from the UK I wouldve voted leave

why is being proud of your own country and wanting it to stand of its own considered racist?

80% of the world are independent why cant UK be one of them again?

Because there's no pragmatic benefit to that "pride"

You still have to deal with all the other countries, globalization is still a thing. The UK has to do businsess with the EU. Only now it works for a position of weakness instead of one of strength.

Now instead of free travel for citizens, it's a clusterfuck, instead of smooth busisnesses building an economy, it's a weakeed clusterfuck.

And this is without bringing up Ireland.

"I want to be proud of my nation BLURGH GAR!" chesthumping might emotioally feel good but it's not actually saying anything. It's not a practical stance of anykind. It's pure rhetoric and stupid rhetoric at that.

Meanwhile it's considered racist because many people who loudly openly support it are racist and the party that called for it was a far right racist homophobic party.

You see the same thing from the Scottish independance movement. Lots of shouting and "pride" but no correhant thoughts or policies or ideals. They don't even know what the EU is

There was a great interview with a guy who was pro-no deal Brexit and he was asked "Well how will the UK get vital medicenes into the country with a no deal Brexit" and he without hesitation said "Well obviously Iwant a no deal with side deals."

You can't make this stuff up.

Brexit is on par with Trump supporters.
You're not a racist by default but you can't deny the racism that exists among the supporters nor the fact most of them don't actually understand/care about politics and are going off emotion and feeling.

What's extremely telling to me is one of the rallying cries was "WE have to abide by the EU's bill of rights (that the UK helped create) not our own bill of rights!".... Then the second Brexit occured the UK's bill of rights was identical except they took out all the privacy protections so the conservative government can legally spy on the population.

That's a really really really really really really really bad thing that no leaver talks about. That's what the "UK Pride!" people brought to the table. Basically a British Patriot Act.
