There's way more synergy to be had than Ni No Kuni, and I personally LOVE building unconventional seeming teams and seeing how well it works. There's a race of creatures that give your team benefits for each turn that it has, so I set up a team that expends their turn to give my buffer multiple turns while trying to move the enemy down the timeline. This strategy is synergistic with one of the starting class options, but I tried it on a different specialization.
